Thunzi is situated in the malaria free Eastern Cape, the lodge is just outside Port Elizabeth, accommodation which is in luxury log cabins, is available on either a bed and breakfast or dinner bed and breakfast basis. The city of Port Elizabeth is serviced by an international airport, state of the art harbour / marina facilities and an excellent highway system. Get out of the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy a tranquil afternoon of bass fishing or a leisurely walk through the indigenous forest knowing that within a 30 minute drive, you have access to many other game and wildlife attractions ( Addo Elephant Park , Shamwari Game Lodge), modern shopping malls and an oceanarium in nearby Port Elizabeth .

One of the properties that makes the accommodation at Thunzi unique is that it is situated on the doorstep of the Maitland Nature Reserve, a 127 hectare property comprising of three nature trails, with the famous giant Maitland sand dunes and pristine shores of Maitland Beach a mere 2 km away. Thunzi Bush Lodge, set in its unspoiled surroundings, is a place at home with nature in all its untamed glory. We are located a 50min drive from the Addo Elephant Park and a 60min drive from Shamwari Game Reserve where Africa's Big 5 can be found.
