TSITSIKAMMA ADVENTURES
TREE TOP CANOPY TOURS

A first in Africa. Enjoy the unequaled beauty of the indigenous forest high up on ten treetop platforms. Gently glide along in harness along steel cables 30 meters above the forest floor. Birdlife is abundant (including Knysna Loeries and the elusive Narina Trojan), and your guides will explain the ecology of the lush primeval forest. Safety is paramount, and the system has been built to the highest civil engineering standards. Guides are fully-trained professionals. Departure times: Every ½ hour from 7am to 4:00pm in summer, and every 45 minutes from 8am to 2:45pm in winter.

WOODCUTTERS JOURNEY

Journey with us down the old Stormsriver Pass, and experience the indigenous forest from the comfort of a specially-designed vehicle. Follow the elephant trail, passing yellowwoods and stinkwoods, while hearing about the history of the area and the indigenous flora and fauna. Enjoy a delicious lunch or tea at a beautiful site next to the Stormsriver, where wagons outspanned more than a century ago.
Departure times: Morning Tea: 9H00, Lunch 11H30, Afternoon Tea:14H30

TSITSIKAMMA / KOUGA BUSHCAMP ECO EXPERIENCE

A 65km drive through spectacular mountain passes ends at a unique bush camp, where a authentic African bush experience awaits. Tree level tent on platforms under a blanket of indigenous forest, bush cuisine cooked on an open fire a boma area, drinks and conversation, then bed under the trees. The next morning, after breakfast, you can choose between hiking, fishing or abseiling. Later the river excursion, on inflatable craft, takes you through the beautiful Kouga river valley, where sitings of Black and Fish eagles are common. After a scenic paddle, you are met on the river bank, and served a meal.

SCUBA DIVING

Tsitsikamma National Park : A special experience at a unique site in the heart of the Tsitsikamma National Park - the Tsitsikamma Ma rine Reserve. The reserve - the first in Africa - is protected from exploitation, and is rich in all forms of fish and invertebrate life. Most of the fish species occur no where else in the world. Easy access to the sea, and bright reef and fish provide perfect opportunities for under water photography.

Plettenberg Bay: operate a highly professional scuba diving operation off Central Beach next to the Beacon Island Hotel. Strict conservation diving ethics are applied and the operator is "Fair Trade Accredited". The state of the art dive craft, Tsitsikamma Diver One", accommodates 10 divers comfortably and numerous spectacular offshore dive options are available for scuba enthusiasts. GUIDED HIKES

Two to five day hikes are offered in the Tsitsikamma Mountains, and one day guided hikes are also available.
We will design a hiking package to suite your requirements.

Rate per day:
R425.00pp (four - ten people)
R395.00pp (eleven to eighteen people)
R350.00pp (eighteen to twenty-four people).

TARIFS:

Tariffs quoted subject to change. Prior notification of such price changes will be communicated in advance where possible. Fixed quotations confirmed in writing will be honoured in the event of price changes. VAT is included in all prices.

COMMISSIONS :

Operator discounts are negotiable but must always be confirmed in writing.

CONDITION OF PAYMENT:

A 50% deposit will confirm all bookings. No booking can be confirmed without the required deposit. The balance of the tariff is payable 14 days prior to the confirmed booking (for advance bookings).

CANCELLATIONS :

Deposits are not refundable under any circumstances. Stormsriver Adventures reserves the right to claim the full fee should the client fail to cancel the booking 24 hours prior. Cancellation within 7 days of booking will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Stormsriver Adventures reserves the right to cancel any activity in the interest of safety! Clients will be refunded under such circumstances.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKINGS AND FINAL NUMBERS:

Confirmation of bookings, final numbers and dietary requirements must be confirmed at least 48hrs in advance.
